When I’m not teaching, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, and when I’m not doing that, I enjoy spending time behind a camera.
What started as a hobby several years ago with my first digital camera has grown into a part-time dream. My first love was photographing the beauty in everyday objects; a round bale of hay, the symmetry of a barn, the repetition in various farm implements. This has grown into a second love of serving families, young couples, and others by photographing their everyday beauty.
Nowadays, I enjoy capturing special times for my clients: senior year, a special someone, families, and even special pets. True confession: I love what I do. When I get to spend time with families, I feel like I’m stepping into their world, and seeing the family through the eyes of a mom, daughter, visitor, artist. I love capturing those special moments that seem to only happen at home, out of the public eye. I’m thankful to be able to freeze a few moments in their histories so they can revisit them in the years to come.
